I have to do a ton of good old (2D) rendering at work today and tomorrow, so I decided to brush up with a weirdly 90s-looking 911 last night.
For anyone interested, here's the original sketch:
Sometimes I'm glad that, on good days at work, I get to color.

That's really cool. You're obviously very talented. Do you have or plan on doing a front view?

No plan, really. This was really just practicing reflective surfaces, not part of anything bigger than that. Also (I say this a lot...), talent is a bullshit word for practice. I've had a lot.

How do you do this?!

Right hand. Wacom tablet. Photoshop. Time.

I understand.
Haha. Well believe me, no matter how much I practice, I know I won't be able to draw half as well as you do.

Nice. I have a touchscreen laptop but Photoshop doesn't let me draw shit with it. :/

All it took me was a few painful years in design school and 12 years in the profession— not that I'd recommend it to anyone!

Here's my setup at home, I took a WIP pic of this one while I was working on it (and watching old Top Gears on the ipad).
You can get older Intuous tablets pretty cheap. Mine's 13 years old, works just fine.

Sounds like you might have a bit of experience. Haha

Or if you really want to draw, people practically give these things away: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_kw…
I bought mine new, seven years ago, will going strong.

I saw your setup in another comment. Does it bother you that you can't see the result where your stylus meets the pad? I feel like that would bother me, but I've not used one of those before.
Amazing work as always!

Never has, though it took a little getting used to at first. It took a week or two to get used to, but it quickly becomes normal.
